Rachel`s Letter from the North

Recently, Rachel embarked north to experience firsthand the unforgettable escapes we craft. Check out her travel letter below for an insider’s look:

What a way to begin the year! In January, I was fortunate enough to take a site inspection in the far north of Norway. Arriving in Bardufoss on a truly magical day, I was inspired to write the poem featured below. The sky was still, awash with color, and the temperatures dropped as low as -20°C, somehow making the scene feel absolutely perfect.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of exploring Wolf Lodge, where I experienced feeding arctic foxes and witnessed the deep passion the team has for their animals. Listening to the wolves’ howls echoing in the background as I wandered the lodge was an unforgettable moment. Wolf Lodge offers far more than an encounter; the heart and soul of the place run deeply, creating an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

While in the north, I also enjoyed strolling the charming paths of Tromsø and discovering some new property gems along the way, giving Nordfolk the opportunity to offer something unique and tailored for each request.

“The glow of the north”

by our very own, Rachel

It’s in the air

The sky…

The blue hues, orange undertones, blending together

The snow covered mountain peaks

Nothing flat about the north

Arctic ice waters brush against

the coast line

Bottle it, whatever

this is

The magic of the north

The crystal ice of the air

Sail me through the valleys, each twist and turn

Those soft sky colours

Little light in north yet the most beautiful light graces each day

-Rachel
