Weather

The climate in Norway varies significantly and you need to be prepared for variations in climate on the same day. The temperate waters of the Gulf Stream tend to give Norway and our coastal areas a milder climate than other parts of the world that is situated at the same latitude. See forecast here.

What to bring

Recommended pack list:

When travelling to Norway we will recommend you to check the below packing list in order to be prepared for a sincere and incredible Norwegian experience.

  • Wool clothing or other warm clothes

  • Warm beanie

  • Scarf or fleece buff

  • Gloves / mittens (wool or fleece recommended)

  • Water proof rain jacket and pants

  • Light down jacket

  • Swimwear (you never know when you find a Norwegian lake!)

  • Comfortable clothes and shoes

  • Hiking shoes (preferrably water proof)

  • Warm winter boots in winter

  • Parkas or warm down jacket

  • Back pack for outdoor

  • Sunglasses

Adapter: Power sockets are of type F, voltage is 230 V and frequency is 50 Hz.

Currency & tipping

The currency in Norway is Norwegian kroner (NOK).

Tipping is not mandatory in Norway but highly appreciated by guides, drivers and waiters at restaurants. As a general rule, tipping is a token of your appreciation. Norway is however almost a cashfree country, as all shops/ hotels/ taxis, restaurants appreciate payment by credit card/ visa.
